The path to the Tagliaferri refuge is the number 413 that starts from the locality Ronco (it is not easy to find it on Google maps, we leave you the indications here: https://bit.ly/35XcmBD, but it is possible to shorten the climb of about 1 km continuing by car in the direction of the Vò waterfall parking in one of the spaces along the narrow road (first asphalted then dirt).
From here follow the indications for the path 413 in direction of the waterfall of Vò and just before reaching it cross the torrent using the wooden bridge where there is the indication for the Tagliaferri refuge.
The real ascent begins after crossing the river first in the woods and then open in the beautiful valley where the path flattens out to reach first the hut of Venano di sotto and after a series of steep sections the hut of Venano di sopra.
At this point you are about halfway along the path to the refuge, you cross a plain and then resume the zigzag climb until you reach an altitude of 2200 meters where the path (at this point almost flat) turns definitively towards the refuge skirting on the left the mass of Pizzo Tornello.
You cross a couple of steep points with the help of some fixed chains until you cross the path coming from the Belviso pass (another nice way up to the refuge from the Gleno valley), from here in five minutes you reach the Tagliaferri refuge.
For the descent follow the same path or, if you want to extend the excursion, you can go along part of the naturalistic itinerary A. Curò ( n° 416 ) up to the lakes of Venerocolo
and close the loop going down from the path n° 414 until arriving exactly to the car.
