To get to Fuchiade you have to go up from Moena to San Pellegrino Pass.
We suggest you to park your car at the first parking on the right so that you don’t pay anything for parking.
Advances about 500m on the left you will find the entrance to the road that leads to Fuchiade.
Approximately 4.5 km separate us from Fuchiade, a small village nestled in an incredibly green valley and under one of the beautiful massifs of the Dolomites.
As soon as you approach the path you will find a beautiful lake on the left where many tourists take souvenir photos.
The trail is completely unpaved dirt, the road is very wide and runnable and offers breathtaking scenery. Along the road you’ll usually find many people doing this stretch, both for its simplicity (we report practically no height difference) and because it’s easily practicable even with children. This makes the route very attractive also for families who decide to spend a pleasant day outdoors in nature.
What appears to our eyes when we arrive is a wide valley with many paths that start upwards. The largest structure is a refuge where you can also stop and taste something typical. The place is really suggestive and even if it is very busy it is still very quiet and worth a visit.
Once arrived in Fuchiade, there are many itineraries towards higher peaks and mountain huts, but these walks will be no longer suitable for all the families with children that arrive here.
Trail Type: mainly dirt road with the first part on asphalt
Water: find a few fountains with spring water along the way, or at the bottom of the hut.
